Our thanks to Stephen for championing this paper

The paper describes our approach and provides analysis of the images collected in the January 2014 K020 expedition.   The mapping also clearly identified the footprint of campsites and walking trails on soils, and highlighted the potential of this technique in monitoring human impact in this fragile ecosystem.

The paper is also an example of the interdisciplinary and inter organisational nature of Antarctic research.
